IU calls for a broad alliance before 29 November: it is not yet a final candidate list
LEFT · ALLIANCES · 11/10/2026 · Editorial review: 19 October 2026
Izquierda Unida published its position on 11 October. Final lists and a joint programme need later documents.

What happened
On 11 October, Izquierda Unida reaffirmed its wish to assemble a broad front of left parties and civic groups. The statement supports Ada Colau to head that candidacy and cites housing among the reasons for convergence.
What it means and what we do not know
A call for unity does not establish that every party has agreed on one list, nor what a future government would do. Agreements, candidate lists and a manifesto are needed before attributing joint commitments.
What we will track
We will compare housing, wage and public-service proposals using the same criteria as for PSOE, PP and Vox: original text, funding, timeline and measurable outcome.
