What happened

CSIF called three full-day strikes among Madrid’s non-university teachers on 14–16 October and later reported on the first day’s gathering. A photograph taken that evening on Calle de Alcalá documents the march; it cannot establish total turnout.

What it means and what we do not know

Its demands include a pay supplement, smaller classes, less paperwork and better facilities and climate control. The published schedule included partial walkouts from 19 October, subject to any change arising from negotiations.

What we will track

Families should check their school for actual disruption and minimum-service arrangements. We will track any written offer from the education department and the organisers’ response to assess progress.
