What happened

On 16 October, Montse Mínguez said she was leaving her PSOE spokesperson role and would not stand in the 29 November election. Servimedia and RTVE reported the decision that day.

What it means and what we do not know

The resignation followed reports about her partner’s property business. On 17 October, PSOE appointed Rebeca Torró as its new spokesperson. His activities and her conduct must be assessed separately: the reports do not, by themselves, establish wrongdoing by her.

What we will track

The verifiable political questions are whether PSOE clarifies its conflict-of-interest standards and publishes its final candidate list. We do not attribute her partner’s assets to Mínguez or describe a suspicion as a crime.
