DANA: Paiporta rebuilds its drainage while the C3 remained incomplete in September
Foco Civil editorial desk · Documentary review: 18 October 2026. Each development is dated separately.
Recovery includes measurable progress and outstanding services. In Paiporta, drainage works began in July with a four-year horizon, according to municipal information checked by VerificaRTVE on 18 September. Funding and delivery involve different actors: the state supplies funds and the municipality manages the works.
Drainage: renewed flooding exposed the problem
Flooding on 16 September brought the network back into focus. The project covers connections, drains and sewers. The municipality scheduled the next phase for October; a schedule does not establish completion. For residents, the meaningful result is improved drainage, beyond the existence of a budget.
Funding and transport: the latest balance consulted
These are categories in the government’s 21 September balance, not payments exclusively to families. It reported all 160 affected kilometres of state roads open, with replacement buses on the C3 between Buñol and Utiel. It does not establish conditions on 18 October.
Lifts: the available count dates from March
Ascencoval counted 471 outstanding lifts at March-end, out of 7,530 damaged, SER reported on 5 April. This is historical evidence, not an October count.
What this means for residents
An aggregate figure cannot establish access to an individual building. A specific case needs the order status, expected repair date and return-to-service record. This review has not established a current outstanding-lift count or inspected homes. That gap supports neither “everything is solved” nor “nothing has improved”.
