Biedma reports surveillance after testifying in the Leire case
Complaint and alleged victim status · Facts under examination · Reviewed: 18/10/2026
We distinguish the case she investigated from the alleged interference and surveillance she reported.
What has been reported
EFE reported on 15 October that Beatriz Biedma had complained to police in Badajoz about alleged surveillance. It said she testified on 8 October as an alleged victim in the Leire Díez case and that the agency had seen the complaint. The report establishes the reported complaint and its attributed contents, not a conviction over those events.
Two different roles
Biedma investigated the David Sánchez case. In these reports she appears as a complainant and alleged victim asking for events to be investigated. Confusing those roles could wrongly suggest that she is being investigated for what she reported.
What needs clarification
Which investigative steps are ordered, what evidence is admitted and what the court ultimately establishes. We will not expose relatives or children or infer responsibility for threats from political affiliations.
